What's a Chakra?
Chakras are energy centers that run up the center of the body (normally shown up the spine) to the top of the head or what is called the 'crown chakra'. The chakra link the subtle, electromagnetic inner bodies to the physical body. There are seven major chakras. There is also an Earth chakra below the feet, a higher heart chakra just above the heart and the higher crown chakra just above the head.


VIOLET: Thought : "I understand"
Crown chakra, Seventh chakra - located at the top of the head. Purity, sincerity, clarity, truth, perfection, enlightenment, understanding

Qualities: Perfection, integration / unity with the omnipresent, divine wisdom and purpose, universal consciousness, bliss, understanding, enlightenment.

Forehead or 'third eye' chakra, Sixth chakra - lies above the top of the nose, center of the forehead. Insight, spirituality, transformation, determination, peace and devotion.

Qualities: Inner vision, intuition, insight, clairvoyance, imagination, extrasensory perception, idealism, concentration, peace of mind, projection of will, manifestation.

Throat chakra, Fifth chakra - lies at the base of the throat. Faithfulness, loyalty, openness, freedom (light blues), responsibility and respect for others (dark blues)

Qualities: Free / creative self expression, communication, inspiration, confidence, integrity, wisdom, truth, freedom, Independence, access to subtler levels of being.

Heart chakra, Fourth chakra - lies in the middle of the chest. Warmheartedness, friendship, openness, freedom, harmony, peace, empathy, self renewal.
